Wild about Wrecks!

Come and join us on the beach to listen to stories about ship wrecks and create your own ship-themed beach art.

Come and join our fun and creative story tellers Jeannie May and Tilly Riley on the beach to listen to stories about ship wrecks that are inspired by actual wrecks that exist along the Tees to Tyne Coast!

Families will take part in a beach and shore-based scavenger hunt with visual artist Nicola Balfour to collect materials to create ship-themed beach art on the beach.

This event is for families with children aged 5 years and above. Park in Seaham Car Park and walk down to Vane Tempest Beach to join our artists for the session (they’ll have a big flag for easy spotting).

Please come dressed for the weather and bring drinks / snacks.

This event is free to attend: booking essential.

This event is part of SeaScapes and is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
