Tree and Hedgerow Planting at White Lea Farm

Calling all Volun-tree planters!!

The Rangers at White Lea Farm are working hard to restore and conserve the coastal meadows, clifftops and surrounding areas. As part of the Our Coast Our Wildlife project we’re hosting tree and hedgerow planting days to help them out.

The trees and hedgerows are being planted to contribute towards the variety of wildlife habitats at the farm, helping to support plants and the animals that live there. The trees and hedgerows will not only contribute to developing a nature haven but they will also provide natural flood management by absorbing water and slowing water flow, helping prevent erosion to the coastal clifftops.

The tree and hedgerow planting days are taking place at White Lea Farm. You’re welcome to come along and plant a tree or stay for the session and plant several trees. The Rangers will provide equipment to help with tree planting.

Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear. This event is being run by The National Trust and is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and is part of the SeaScapes ‘Our Coast, Our Wildlife’ Project.
