Would you like the opportunity to share your concerns and interests to develop projects or actions for positive local impact? Then join us to exchange ideas and co-develop volunteer projects to monitor our fragile sea life.
The sessions are inclusive to all and no prior knowledge of the marine environment or experience volunteering on citizen science projects is required.
The session will begin with a short presentation to highlight some of the threats impacting our coastal shores and marine environment. This will be followed by activities and discussion to map out key themes and develop project ideas and/ or actions. On the basis of projects developed, full training will be provided at a later date to those interested on how to undertake surveys to address specific questions.
Booking is essential, refreshments will be provided.
This session is part of a project undertaken at Newcastle University called Engaging Environments. Engaging Environments works with a wide range of people in northeast England to think about how we can make our coasts better together.
