Beach Rangers are a group of young people aged 14-18 who meet monthly to discover and explore our coastal wildlife and seascape
About the event
In our first session of 2023, we will meet at Roker Pier.
Waves carry plastic waste from the sea onto our beaches, which can harm wildlife and people, so to make our beaches a safer, more enjoyable space for everyone, we’re going to join Louise, SeaScapes Beach Care Officer, for a beach clean walk along Roker beach.
All beach clean equipment will be provided.
Please wear warm, weather appropriate clothing, hat and gloves, and sturdy boots/footwear.
BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL
In January and February, we are doing shorter sessions due to the cold winter weather making it more challenging to be outside all day. Once it warms up a bit in March, we’ll resume our longer sessions.
