Nature Survey – ‘Our Coast, Our Wildlife’

If you’re passionate about wildlife, we’d love you to help us carry out nature surveys around White Lea Farm, Easington, including butterflies, moths, reptiles, birds and mammals. Help us collect wildlife camera footage and check nesting boxes.

The morning will consist of a short introduction on how to identify different species and basic surveying and recording techniques, followed by a walk to put it all into practice. An informal and enjoyable way to learn about nature surveying and brush up on ID skills, with rangers on hand to answer any questions.

It is advisable to wear walking shoes/boots as the routes could become muddy in places. The walk will be along public rights of way and through fields. There maybe uneven ground in places and stiles to climb. Be prepared for changing weather conditions and wear or carry appropriate clothing. No dogs please. All surveying equipment is provided.

This event is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund as part of the SeaScapes ‘Our Coast, Our Wildlife’ project.
