Beach Rangers – February

Are you aged 14-18, love the coast and want to help and learn about marine life?

In our February Beach Rangers session, we’re going to split our time between and beach clean and some sea-bird / sea-life surveying.

Plastic pollution is one of the biggest threats to our coastline with fishing lines, bags and a whole array of damaging litter ending up in the sea, where it is then mistakenly eaten by fish and sea mammals and can even find it’s way back into our food-chains.

Following an hour or so’s beach-cleaning, we will turn our attention to the sea to look for different species of sea-birds. It will also be worthwhile looking for any tell-tale signs of dolphin activity…

Please wear comfortable, weather appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear.
