Photo Identification as a Research Tool

Whales, dolphins and porpoises are regular visitors to, and some would say residents of, our Tyne to Tees coastline, and we are lucky to regularly catch glimpses of them as they swim by our beaches and piers and feed off our shores. As they live in a fairly non-accessible marine habitat for humans, how can photography and photo identification help us to learn about their lives, and what impact does this have for conservation?

Join us and Martin Kitching, the Northumberland/Durham Regional Coordinator for SeaWatch Foundation, at our online workshop to find answers for these questions and more!

Booking is essential!

This event is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, and is part of the SeaScapes ‘Intertidal Interactive’ Project.
