SeaScapes Summer School!

We’re super excited to announce the first SeaScapes Summer School!

If you are aged 14-18, live in Sunderland or South Tyneside, love the coast & want to learn about marine life, then join our SeaScapes summer school starting Monday 29th August until Friday 2nd September.

In this week-long summer school, you will be able to explore and discover the marine wildlife that live on our rocky shores and local seas. We will visit a variety of local beaches and rocky shores, rock pool and dolphin watch, and learn about the different species that live in each habitat, discovering why they are unique and why they need protecting.

There is also the opportunity to learn about film-making and we will design, shoot and make our own short film of rocky shore and underwater marine life, that will be used to raise environmental awareness among young people.

Due to funding requirements, young people that want to take part must live in South Tyneside or Sunderland, and be able to attend every day.
